Since 1995, Jim Rasfeld has been the art director at Rainbo Records, a CD, DVD, and vinyl record manufacturer in Los Angeles, California. He has overseen the print production of thousands of jobs for musicians and independent labels.

As a graphic artist, he designs CD and DVD projects for Rainbo's varied clientele, as well as implementing Rainbo's ads and website.

As a freelance artist, he designs for the web and for print.

From 1984 to 1994, he managed Acme Recording Studio in Chicago, (for the last four years as the president of the company). He developed the company's well-respected real-time cassette duplication division and upgraded the mastering and recording studios. Highlights at Acme include recording an album for Bob Dylan and having the studio appear on the November, 1992 cover of Mix Magazine.
